Newport- Nearly Not A Police State

We were filming in Newport yesterday on a public road and no police bothered us at all. They would get pretty close and then go down a side street or into Boots to check on the razors I assume.

Somebody came out of RBS to ask what we were doing and we told them making a music video and they went away happy. We were talking about this on the way back to the car and just as we got back out popped Little Miss Hitler with (totally cool dude may I add) PSCO sidekick (interesting that is, how to get what looks like two real police on patrol but pay for one and a half) to ask us what we've been doing as CCTV after TWO hours had noticed us.

So we told them we were filming a music video in a public place. They informed us we needed permission to film in a public place blah blah blah asked for our id.

Miss Hitler was quite happy to take away personal freedoms and arrest us because 3,000 people died in New York and it didn't take her long to tell us this. I mentioned that the IRA bombed mainland Britain all the time but we as a people got on with it and freedom was kept because that's more important than giving in to terror. Being from Ireland they were harder to spot too not being dark skinned with beards etc.

This flew over her head like a predator drone.

She liked my camera equipment and kept commenting on how expensive it was. Being a enforcer drone for our consumer society it must be one of the only things that registers, even though it's all second hand off ebay Miss Hitler could still discern quality, gotta respect that. I was tempted to say I bought it all with my sickness benefit.

She asked where the video camera was looking at the dslr on it's stabiliser. "We were taking pictures, it's a camera".

"I thought you said you were filming?"

That noodle her head bigtime, all she could see was a camera, much like all she can see is terror. No errors in official stories, no big financial scam cover up, nothing. All she sees is what she's been told. I take it that nobody has told her that dslrs can take moving pictures.

As I am not obliged to answer her questions I did not shed any further light on the subject.

She even wrote the name of the band down which was a new one. Cool. We now have a file at Newport Central Terror Police Hub.

It got me thinking though. We need a press pack to give to the uninformed as they didn't know what a zombie bank was. I bet she loved the death squad bit. We are a non-agressive awarness propaganda programme. We are not into what we see, we may mention it. We are a reflection of a reality. The dude did ask us if we were extreme!

Extreme and knarly dude :D

We love the police and must work on connecting with the ones with terror in their eyes. We always end up having this terror conversation. I think we should agree with them and get back to talking about zombie banks.

Newport is still really cool though. Safe Clarts.
